Over time Oxidation of the Aluminum creates dark spots that creates a grayish look. A special product has been developed that can take most or all of this off. Now you do not have to replace the gutter to have a clean fresh look. Many times the dirty look is also on shaded areas where mold and mildew builds up on the outside of the gutter. This process also removes it or I treat it separately to remove it. The other factor is over flow of the gutters. This leaves a distinctive discoloration and ounce the problem is fixed with exterior cleaning of the gutter this discoloration can also be removed.
