Side view that I tried to draw the solution from. This gap allows the birds to get started on getting in and building a nest. Plug it up well and they should stop. But needs to be removable so can get in if needed. |
This was on the back of the house, with multible nests going on at one place. They seem to need the depth for padding of the nest and the chicks and parents to fit. So solution would be to block it off. |
Same shot from a longer view. All the nests are over drain pipes |
Another view of the back nest
|
At bottom of picture the water is blocked from draining |
On this one if you look closely there is standing water in the gutter blocked by the nest and keep moisture there for the trees to route. Birds may have brought the maple seeds in with the bedding for the nest. |
Blocked drain due to old nest on east side over addition. |
Gutter cleaned, cover flushed of debris and ready to go back on.
|
No more nest or trees |
